- Both teams were strong on the mound Thursday, but Zeeland West Dux JV defeated Holland Christian 3-1. Whit Lewis allowed just six hits to Holland Christian.
- Lewis earned the victory on the pitcher's mound for Zeeland West Dux JV. He allowed six hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine.
- McKellips took the loss for Holland Christian. He allowed four hits and three runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two.
- Josh Coleman went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Zeeland West Dux JV in hits. Zeeland West Dux JV was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Nielsen O'Brien had the most chances in the field with ten.
