UNITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 0
- Zeeland West Dux JV defeated Unity Christian 3-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Aden DeGraaf induced a fly out from Miedema to finish off the game.
- The pitching was strong on both sides. Zeeland West Dux JV pitchers struck out three, while Unity Christian pitchers sat down three.
- Zeeland West Dux JV got on the board in the second inning when Shaelink induced Jake Overzet to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored.
- One bright spot for Unity Christian was a single by Bush in the first inning.
- Travis Vredeveld was the winning pitcher for Zeeland West Dux JV. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on five hits, striking out two and walking zero. DeGraaf threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. DeGraaf recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Zeeland West Dux JV.
