The Dux traveled to the Dutch Dome on Friday night to take on Holland High.  The traveling "Swamp" was small, but mighty and brought great support.  The Dux were without four of their player who typically play significant minutes, Luke Bakker, Deklen Klamt, Merritt Alderink, and Myles Steffen.  West knew that they would need to pull together in order come out on top Friday night and they did it together as a team on their way to a 72-66 win in OT.  The Dux got off to an early lead of 6 points and forced the Dutch to call a timeout.  The Dutch fought back and scored eight in a row and held a 2 point lead at the end of the first quarter.  The score stayed throughout the first half, but the Dutch took momentum into halftime after hitting a big shot to take a 5 point lead.  The Dutch continued to stretch the lead getting it up to 11 points in the third quarter before the Dux cut it back to 5 at the end of the third quarter.  The game went back and forth with both teams making big shots in the fourth quarter.  West took a 3 point lead with 26 seconds to go.  Holland got an and one with 13 seconds to go and West was not able to score on their last possession.  The Dutch made a big three to start OT, but West battled back behind four free throws from Drew Weenum and 6 points from Kylan Arnold in OT to win 72-66.  The Dux have Tuesday night off before hosting Muskegon next Friday to start the second round of conference play.  Scoring as follows:
