Derek Kingshott - Derek graduated from Zeeland West in 2008 as an accomplished student-athlete participating in basketball, football and track and field.   In basketball, Derek was a two time all conference player in the 2007 and 2008 season and was named to the BCAM All-State Team following the 2007-08 season.   Similar to basketball, Derek was a two time all conference football player, two time member of the Holland Sentinel All-Area team, member of the Grand Rapids Press Dream Team in 2006 and a member of the Zeeland West State Championship football team in 2006.   On the track, Derek was all conference in 2008 and was a member of the Track and Field State Championship Relay teams in both the 1600 and 3200.   Derek also excelled in the classroom graduating #4 in this class.   Following graduation from Zeeland West, Derek went on to a career as a student-athlete at Hillsdale for 1 year playing football and four years at Cornerstone University playing basketball.  

Sara Nitz - Sara graduated from Zeeland East High School in 2009.  During her time at Zeeland East, Sara participated in volleyball, basketball, track and softball.   She earned multiple varsity letters in both basketball and volleyball and was named all-conference and all-area in both sports her senior year.   In track and field, Sara earned three varsity letters while being named all conference three times, Holland Sentinel All-area three times and was named the Holland Sentinel Track Athlete of the Year in 2009.  Her junior year she finished 7th in the state in the high jump.  Senior year, she was runner up at the conference meet in the 300 hurdles and was the conference champion in the high jump.  At the 2009 State meet, Sara was a state champion as she won the Division 2 high jump while setting the Zeeland East and area high jump record.   After graduating from Zeeland East, Sara went to the University of Michigan where she participated on the track and field team.  She was named to the Academic All Big Ten team three times, was a 5 time winner of the U of M Athletic Academic Achievement Award, was the All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of The year in 2013, finished 2nd place in the outdoor high jump in 2013 placing her on the All Big Ten 2nd team and was named the Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2014.   

Lloyd Schout - Lloyd graduated from Zeeland High School in 1965  While at Zeeland he participated in track and field where he ran the ½ mile, high jumped and threw the shot put.  In football he was the tight end, kicked extra points and was the kicker on kickoffs.   Lloyd also played a year of first team doubles in tennis.  He earned multiple varsity letters in these sports but Lloyd’s focus was on basketball.   He started for the CHIX as a 6’3” point guard his sophomore, junior and senior year while being named All-Conference two times.  In his junior and senior years, Lloyd averaged over 20 points per game and in his senior year he also averaged over 10 rebounds a game.  Lloyd was skilled at scoring and shooting.  For a long time he held the single game scoring record at 36, prior to the three point line.  He also held the school career scoring record with 886 despite only playing 15 games a season.   After graduating from Zeeland, Lloyd went on to play basketball at Hope College.  At Hope, Lloyd helped the team win an MIAA Championship his sophomore year.
