Junior Varsity vs Holland Christian High School (3 - 1) Win The Dux JV soccer team earned it's first win of the season against Holland Christian by a score of 3-1. This is a huge improvement from the first outing, where the Maroons dominated all aspects of the match from start to finish. This time, it was the Dux who jumped on the Maroons from the start, and never relented. Defensively, we played the best match of our season so far. We frustrated their 3 best players and limited their opportunities throughout most of the match. Our midfield controlled the pace and tempo of the match, out-possessing and out-playing the Maroons who ran circles around us the first match. We connected really well and did a great job of switching the point of attack. The best part of the match was in the offensive third, where our diligence and resiliency finally paid off with 3 goals. Honestly, we could have had at least 1-2 more, but we finally finished some good chances. Cam Klaasen (sophomore) led the Dux with 2 goals and an assist. Thyson Touch (sophomore) had the other goal and 2 assists.
