In nonconference soccer action last night, the Dux JV team earned their 2nd shutout in their last 3 matches, battling Saugatuck to a 0-0 draw. The Dux carried most of the possession throughout the match, and dominated the midfield. Defensively, they were stout and played well, limiting the Trailblazers to few scoring opportunities, erasing all of their counterattacking attempts. Offensively, the team struggled to get anything going in the final third during the first half. However, they were more successful and intentional in the second half, generating several solid scoring chances but were unable to find the back of the net. The team continues to improve as the season progresses. They return to conference action tonight when they play at Zeeland East.
