Boys and Girls 7/8 Creekside Cross Country-co-op vs. Multiple Opponents

The girls cross country team dominated the field at the 5 team meet at Hamilton on Tuesday and took 1st place. Winning the race was Evie Kleinheksel in 14:32. She was followed by Katie Greenhoe (2nd), Caralyn Elkins (3rd), Madison Ensing (6th) and Kendall Dykstra (10th). Excellent races were also turned in by Julia Till, Kaila Keeler, Cambree Gibbons and Abi Zelenock (new personal best). Great job girls.
The boys team demolished the field of 5 teams at Hamilton by having the first 4 finishers cross the finish line leading the team to a 1st place finish. Rob Dodd was the overall winner of the race, followed closely by Keagan Smith (2nd), Sam Ashby (3rd), Josh Dodd (4th) and Reid Cousins (8th). The following runners all dropped their time by more than 30 seconds from the same time last year: Dayton Sneller, Miguel Echeverria, Gabe Arrendondo and Shaun Baumann (new personal best). Special mention to Owen Towne, Michael Ensing, Dylan Hallihan and Kai Bouathong for their gritty performance.
