Zeeland West Varsity Baseball Shuts Out Hastings

The Zeeland West varsity baseball team defeated Hastings 10-0 on Saturday in the 14th Annual Wooden Bat Tournament as three pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
Carter Hughes earned the victory on the mound for Zeeland West. The righty went three innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out six and walking zero. Logan Visser and Corey Holtrust entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Aden DeGraaf, Jack Aalderink, Cam Schuessler, Carson Gulker, Josh Agar, and Ethan Bosch each collected one hit to lead the Dux offensive attack.
