BYRON CENTER HIGH SCHOOL: 42
The JV Dux lost an overtime heartbreaker to Byron Center JV by a score of 40-42. The game was tied at 38 to end the 4th quarter. "What it came down to was that Byron Center made their free throws, and we did not," Coach Ray said. "This loss was tough because I truly thought we played a really good game. Our defense was really good. We just couldn't finish the game at the line." The Dux were led defensively by the tough man-to-man defense of Jake Kender and Nick Powers. The Dux are back in action next week as they take on Covenant Christian and Grand Haven.
